Karakalpak aul cafe

The menu includes national and European meals, including vegetarian. Hot flatbreads right from tandyr, the traditional oven used to bake bread, will attract you with their aroma.

Café imitates an old Karakalpak village. The walls are touched up with clay and decorated with traditional villager clothes and utensils, such as shogirme (hat made of wool), shapan (men's gown), dutar (musical instrument), korzhyn (bag). According to Karakalpak tradition, the host helps the guests to wash their hands by pouring water from kuman (brass jar) over a lagen (brass bowl).

There is hand made patio where guests can sit and enjoy fresh air and also a yurt where you can feel like in a real Karakalpak house. In the café you can order any traditional Karakalpak meal like besbarmak, ak-saulak, zhugeri gurtik, pilav, shauleh, manty, lamb, pork or beef kebab etc. as well as European meals. Here you can listen to a national music and will feel like a real Karakalpak!
